If you use one of the color modes, the TUM website and its elements will be displayed in either dark or light.

The settings are stored on your computer and not transferred to the server.

Verifications of TUM Degrees and Confirmations

Authorized bodies such as employers, further education institutions, or public authorities can have periods of study and degrees verified by TUM if students grant a power of attorney.

Submit a verification request

Please submit your requests exclusively via our contact form so that we can process your request in a structured and timely manner.

We will forward your request to the appropriate department immediately. You will receive a ticket number; please always quote this number when making inquiries so that your request can be correctly assigned.

Advanced electronic seals on documents

In TUMonline, several documents are already automatically certified with the advanced electronic seal (FES) in accordance with EU Regulation 910/2014. This is already the case for confirmations of enrollment, examination records, grade reports, and other documents. These documents are no longer verified separately. We are currently working on expanding the electronic seal to further documents.

You can see whether a PDF document carries an electronic seal by checking the verification status in a PDF reader such as the Adobe Acrobat Reader (usually by clicking on the signature symbol). Other than a PDF reader, most browsers do not support this feature. You can find further information on the advanced electronic seal in our handout (PDF download, 750 KB).

Please note the following information

  1. Authorized bodies – such as employers, institutions of higher education, or public authorities – have the option to request verification from the 91ĚŇÉ« (TUM) regarding periods of study and the completion of a degree obtained at TUM. This includes the review and confirmation of the authenticity of the academic degree.

  2. To process such a request, we require a power of attorney signed by hand by the student concerned. Without this authorization, we are not permitted to disclose any information to third parties for data protection reasons.

  3. Please note that only periods of study and degrees that were completed or obtained at TUM can be verified.

Confirmation of Study Data

All relevant study data including the standard duration of study can be found in the certificate of enrollment. It can downloaded in the  application “Documents”.

On the certificate of enrollment you will find a verification code which can be used to check its authenticity.

Please note: Information beyond the data provided on the certificate of enrollment, such as attendance or duration of studies, cannot be confirmed. Forms from other authorities will not be filled out or signed (exception: administrative assistance).
